Large-scale Exemplifications Planned for Three Dioceses

To all Sir Knights

During the 4th Degree meeting at the State Convention in April we decided to try something different with our exemplifications this year.  We are going to have one large exemplification in each Diocese.  We currently have one scheduled in Norfolk on March 13th and one in Lincoln on May 1st.  Scottsbluff/Sidney area is also planning one in January or February, but the exact date has not yet been determined.

With that being said, that does not mean we will not consider having other exemplifications, but we really want to encourage recruiting to these dates and locations.  If an Assembly wants to have an extra exemplification, it needs to have at least 20 candidates.

If there are questions about color guards or honor guards, you can refer to the Guide Book from Supreme.  It has the answers to most questions and is the standard to follow.  To assist with flag positioning, State Treasurer Mark Borytsky is assisting me in a program that will be available on the 4th Degree website soon.

If any Council is considering starting its own Assembly, please contact me, and I will help get it set up for you.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the Degree teams.  They put in a lot of time and travel to perform these exemplifications, and I truly appreciate their dedication.

Fraternally,
Jim Haiar, PSD - District Master
